Inscribed by the Author to the front free end-paper: "For Jill/ (and all the Paton Walshs!)/ with love/ Penelope Lively". With a small ownership sticker of Jill Paton Walsh (1937-2020) to the front paste-down. The book is in VG condition with very slight fading to the extremities and softening to the spine tips. The D/W is near VG with minor wear at the spine tips and with a few marks to the back panel. The verso of the D/W has some evidence of damp-staining. The value of this copy is very much in the inscription by the Author.
