Limited edition of 25 copies on thick paper, certified by the author. Clloth, blindstamped border and decoration, 8vo, [2] pp advertisement, xiv, [1], 235, [1] pp, 56 pp publisher's catalogue. Ralph Thomas, who used the less than convincing anagram 'Olphar Hamst' for his bibliographical works, provide here a useful list of pseudonyms etc. which was subsequently superseded by Halkett and Laing's multi-volume work. Thomas is also remembered for his valuable account of the great French bibliographer Querard. 'A Martyr to Biibliography.' which is the subject of an advertisement in the present volume. Copy No. 5, numbered and signed by the author on the half-title as one of 25 copies printed on thick paper. A Presentation Copy, inscribed by the author on the verso of the title-page to William Everfield [? ]. Covers stained, bruise to upper fore-edge corner of front board, front hinge pulled and tear down lower half-of hinge of front free endpaper.
