Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.. This item is unavailable.Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

First edition, first impression, of the second instalment in the world's best-selling book series. Chamber of Secrets was published on 2 July 1998, following the Philosopher's Stone by a year. Sources suggest that an initial print run of 10,150 copies was released to an expectant British public, far in excess of the figure of 706 copies reported by the publisher and printer. Harry Potter was as yet unpublished in America, and a dispute arose when Amazon fulfilled orders for American customers by shipping them British copies. Errington A2(a). Octavo. Original colour printed boards, spine and covers lettered in white, green, blue, black, and red. With dust jacket. Spine ends lightly bumped, abrasion to rear pastedown; negligible creases to sharp, unclipped jacket: a very good copy in fine jacket.
