First edition: one of 525 copies signed by the illustrator. Quarto. pp xii, 251. Thirteen tipped-in colour plates, as well as many other illustrations. Grey cloth with gilt-decorated buckram title-label to front. Top edge gilt. Lacks, as so often, the envelope containing a separate plate.Free endpapers tanned. Dent to top edge of front cover. Covers a bit rubbed at the edges. Very good.
