Maroon textured leatherette boards with gilt lettering on front cover. Lettering is slightly faded on front cover. Spine is coming apart from seams attaching it to the front cover. Sunning and rubbing on spine. End papers are cracked. Text has some marginalia, presumably by the wife of the author. Binding is tight. Signed and inscribed by the author and the wife of the author. Architect C.W. Goodlander tells a local Kansas history from 1858 to 1870, in the era before railroads.
