Signed limited edition, number 85 of 250 copies signed by the artist. This is one of only 100 copies from the first issue, bound in full vellum; the rest of the signed limited edition was issued in quarter cloth in 1919. Beare 77b. Quarto. Colour frontispiece, 11 colour plates, all mounted as issued, with captioned tissue guards, line drawings in the text. Original vellum, spine and front cover lettered and elaborately decorated in gilt, top edge gilt, others untrimmed. Spine foot bumped, vellum a little soiled, foxing to outer leaves and edges, faint splash mark to a few margins, remnant of tissue guard facing p. 64. A very good copy.
