The recipients, Cipe and Bill Golden, were prominent American graphic designers. Loosely inserted is a Typed Letter Signed by Robert Harling, on two sides of a sheet of his headed writing paper and dated 17th January, 1947: about 700 words to the Goldens, of whom he was evidently very fond, presenting the book and discussing Christmas, graphic design, family news, etc, etc.Letter: folded once, a couple of nicks; very good. Book: tail of spine very slightly bumped, otherwise fine in near-fine, slightly nicked dustwrapper a bit darkened at the spine.
