First edition, signed by the poet on the title page. This collection of 21 poems was foundational in establishing Betjeman's poetic career, and "Pot Pourri from a Surrey Garden" in particular became a classic of its time. Octavo. Silhouette frontispiece, title page device and headpieces after designs by the Aldine Press. Original dark blue cloth, printed paper spine label, blue silk bookmarker. Spine lightly sunned, ends and corners bumped, label peripherally chipped, endpapers a little toned: a very good copy indeed.
