The Phone Book--Parr's iconic project reflecting the world's relationship with mobile phones--is designed to mimic a real phone book. It's been printed on newsprint with six stiff card dividers that fold out to cascading tabs. The tabs organize the book according to region: Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, United Kingdom, United States, and Rest of the World. Parr: "There is no escaping this modern phenomenon and my relationship is one of 'I couldn't survive without it' but what a pain in the arse they are. I try to photograph my own and society's hypocrisy.".
