First edition, first printing, of the autobiography of the successful theatre and film producer. Inscribed by the author on two stickers: on the half-title verso, "To Maurice Chevalier who understands the business of acting and the show business. There are few like you. Best always, Max Gordon"; and on the contents page, "To Maurice Chevalier to whom I am grateful for the wonderful evening he has afforded me. Best always, Max Gordon". Chevalier was a famous French actor and singer who got his start in musical theatre prior to the First World War and then became a successful Hollywood star. Octavo. With 16 black and white plates.
