Original hardback with the dust-jacket which is rubbed at head of spine and with a one inch (repaired) tear to the top edge of the jacket near the joint with spine. Jacket not price-clipped. No other inscriptions or internal markings. A VG+ copy. The sequel to Maugham's first volume of autobiography, "Escape from the Shadows".
