4to. pp v, 139, 14 black and white plates at rear, v. Colour illustrated dust jacket. Original publisher's red cloth, lettered black at spine and black illustration at front. Copiously illustrated in black and white throughout. Inscribed by the author at front flyleaf verso: "To Syn, with compliments from Sarath." Pages and frontispiece tanned, light spotting and offsetting at endpapers, boards a little marked and faded, else binding tight. good plus in heavily rubbed, edgeworn and creased with a corner piece torn at front top left corner, good minus dust jacket.
