First edition in book form, deluxe limited issue, one of 106 copies signed by the author on the half-title. The poems in the volume appeared first in Huxley's 1916 The Burning Wheel and his 1918 The Defeat of Youth. Bromer A13.2 Octavo. Original quarter japon, spine lettered in gilt, red and beige patterned paper to sides, front cover lettered in red, edges uncut. Spine just darkened, extremities a touch bumped, faint scraping to lower corner of front board, book block cracked at pp. 31-2 but holding firm: a near-fine copy.
