Inscribed copy of the first edition of this little gem of a book collecting short essays about people and places encountered on the morning walks of the author around Boston. Pages are clean and perfect, but there is a previous owner's name on the front flyleaf while the back of the book has some soiling and a couple of bumps, but overall holding up quite well for a book that turns 100 in 2021. Includes a laid-in reprint of a short newspaper essay by the author originally published in the BOSTON EVENING TRANSCRIPT in 1920. Please see my four photos of this book attached here.
