INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR TO A FELLOW SHERLOCKIAN SCHOLAR. Slight discolouration to the edges of the front cover otherwise a VG+ copy. This rare Sherlock Holmes pastiche was produced in the style of the 1890's with illustrations taken from The Strand Magazine and was written by S. C. Roberts, then Vice-Chancellor of Cambridge University. Signed and inscribed by the Author to the front cover: "O. F. Grazebrook/ from S. C. R." The recipient of this copy was Owen F. Grazebrook (the author of "Studies in Sherlock Holmes"). A scarce title especially with these attributes. Photographs/scans available upon request.
