All dust jackets are protected in a clear, acid-free sleeve. And 85% of our book inventory is autographed by the author because SBA is located near Toronto, an international hub for author events. Regarding condition, at SBA we believe in full and frank disclosure. We describe objects conservatively and thoroughly so you won't have any unpleasant surprises. And you may rely on us to take care in packing your order so it will arrive as described. We ship in sturdy boxes - NOT self-mailers or padded envelopes. And all sales regardless of purchase price are bubble-wrapped and surrounded by Styrofoam peanuts. We also have catalogs of Original Art and Comic Books/Action Figures. The original art retailed by SBA is primarily by Canadian artists of the early-to-mid 20C. Typically, the paintings are oil on board and presented in a period frame. Many listings of our inventory of comic books include a related action figure on-card. Prices are in U.S. dollars. Canadian buyers will be contacted via ABE to request an additional charge of GST or applicable taxes. SBA collects and remits the tax and not the website, because it has a GST Registration number. Pay with a credit card or PayPal via the ABE e-commerce solution or Canadian customers may pay via Interac Direct transfer. A purchase may be returned for refund if not as described. Please write to us upon receipt if you are not satisfied.
Shipping Terms
Typically, orders ship within 24 hours. Shipping costs are estimates and based on the typical book package weighing less than 1 KG. If your order for a book or set of books or work of art exceeds 1KG we may write to inform you that a higher shipping charge is required. Shipping rates to England, Europe and Australia are higher so that we can ship with tracking information. In all cases, the shipping cost is strictly postage. No handling fees.
