Michael Ivens (1924-2001) was a campaigner, journalist and a poet. He published six volumes of poetry in total and one of his poems was chosen by Philip Larkin to feature in the Oxford Book of Twentieth Century Verse. This poetical satire seems fairly scarce - Copac lists only five copies of this pamphlet - Cambridge University, King's College London, British Library, National Library of Scotland and York University. From the library of concrete poet Alan Riddell with his pencilled date on the top right hand corner of the cover - 'R 18 Sept'.
