Unique book on Jim Dine, neo-Dadaist artist and poet. In 1969 Dine published 'Welcome Home Lovebirds' with the Trigram Press run by Asa Benveniste [1925-1990]. Working alongside Benveniste as a typesetter and printer was a man called John Parsons and in a letter to accompany the book Parsons writes - 'While printing Jim's book there were various misprints and proofs, I decided to bind five sets of these, with Jim's backing and of course, his signature. It suited his unorthodox approach to art and writing. This is the last one of the five, each one completely different, which makes this book absolutely unique. A one-off!' Bound in plain black cloth, VG. 57 pages. Signed at the rear limitation page by Dine [though the limitation refers, of course to the published version, not this copy]. Seller Inventory # 186
