About this Item
1st printing of the first Canadian hardcover edition SIGNED by the late Canadian poet on the front free endpaper. No inscription. The book is tight with sharp corners and spine ends. It is ex-libris -- there are stains from scotch tape on the covers and endpapers, and there is a stamp from a municipal library on the page facing the title page with the ghost of a related pencil erasure above it. The pages are tanned, but the text is free of any markings. The supplied jacket is well-preserved and price intact. The jacket's spine is slightly sunned, and the edges of the white flaps are tanned. There is one closed tear in the top edge of the front panel and minor wear along the fore-edge of the front panel. Hardcover first printings of books by Irving Layton published prior to 1969 and signed without inscription to a previous owner are few. Canadian buyer will be charged GST. Seller Inventory # 002395
