A rare etching from 1888 or earlier by Lucien A. Margelidon after Jean Francois Millet's "L. Angelus" measuring approximately 4 ?« x 5 3/8 inches and 9 ?« x 12 ?? total paper inches attached to a slightly larger paperboard backing. Titled `L'Angelus' is isinitialled J.F.M in the plate and signed by Margelidon lower right. This etching was exhibited in 1888 in Paris at the Blanc & Noir 3rd Annual Exhibition and is curated at major institutions such as the Harvard Art Museum and the Rijks Museum in Amsterdam. The listed pictures include an 1891 catalogue which includes this etching.
