Autographed letter, two A5 sheets of pale blue headed paper, 4pp., dated "8.7.61", with crease where folded, else fine This is a reply from Ms Crompton to the letter of Mr Orchard who appears to work in the booktrade. Crompton answers his questions regarding her own work and the position of different genres of fiction. She also talks about her William books, the stories featuring rebellious schoolboy William Brown, which were published in the early 1920s and have been popular ever since. Seller Inventory # 35821
