This is Not A Book About Gavin Turk (Signed)

True to the spirit of 'Gavin Turk: The Artist' and punning on Margritte's famous visual puzzlement on the notoion of representation, image and meaning 'The Treason of the Picture', 'This is not a book about Gavin Turk' is another layer, another set of images and texts which add to the communication of ideas in which the Artist is as present as he is absent and vice versa. Featuring extensive examples of Gavin's work, these powerful images will sit alongside a rich polylogue between art critics, novelists, cultural commentators, artists and psychoanalysts to produce a wonderfully anarchic, thought-provoking cacophony of voices pondering everything from the nature of celebrity to that of chewing gum, alongside the meaning of eggs, the cultural relevance of punk, the creative possibilities of theft and the insidious reductionism of "Brand You" as relevant to the art connoisseur as the general reader.
