25 x 17cm. Hardcover in original illustrated boards as issued, 136pp. Text in French. Signed by the artist Julien Spiewak on title page. Contains full-colour images and reproductions of [French] annotated pages of the titular Balzac book, the fantastical tale 'The Unknown Masterpiece'. The premise of this publication is to illustrate key quotes from Balzac's story by photographic interventions, juxtaposing work of art with parts of the human body. Very good condition.
