About this Item
Number ten of a Signed and Numbered Edition of fifteen. Oblong format in original brick red cloth-covered boartds with a crown-shaped aperture let into the front board to show an image from the print beneath. Eight lithographs, each with captioned guard printed in red. Apart from a small stain to the front, the condition is immaculate. Clare Sprawson is an English water colourist best know for her pictures of flowers and herbs. This volume, produced in an edition of just fifteen, depicts scenes from life in north Africa as described by Gide in his book Amyntas. She casts her eye over souks, Arab cafes, and ancient Moorish monuments. A Fine copy of a rare volume. Seller Inventory # 14778
