[First Chapter Book] SIGNED LIMITED EDITION. Small quarto (28 x 22cm), pp.41 [3]. Number 40 of 85 copies thus, from a total limitation of 100, SIGNED by the author, and with an original print SIGNED by Gilbert & George. A colour illustration to preliminaries. Publisher's cream quarter cloth, with gilt titles to spine and blue patterned paper over boards. Grey endpapers. With the publisher's black cloth-covered clamshell box titled in gilt to spine, with the signed print wrapped in tissue paper slipped into a pouch within. A fine copy with a little handling to clamshell. A sumptuously produced 'first chapter', taken from Hollinghurst's 2004 Booker Prize-winning novel 'The Line of Beauty.'.
