24 pages, printed in High Tower text on Magnani hand mould Book Wove, from Polymer plates on a platen press in a limited edition of 40 copies. The illustrations, which span twelve double pages, were hand-coloured, meaning each copy has a slightly unique finish. This manual process underscores the limited, handcrafted nature of the edition. Complete with Jan Kellet's 'Notes; the House that Jack Built with observations on its origins and bibliography. 18 pages. 70 x 54 mm. Hand bound in green goatskin with gilt blocked titling on upper cover. Spine very slightly faded. It is housed in a 'house-shaped' box covered in Japanese Chiyogami mulberry fiber paper and lined with green "silk" paper. Inspired by the dozens of ?Jacks? in the Toronto Public Library, this version of The House that Jack Built is bound in carousel or star form, giving an extra dimension to the twelve double-page spreads of hand-colored scenes. Distinguished Book Award (Miniature Book Society 2005). Judge Magda Saina?s comment: ?Great illustration appropriate to the subject and origin of story.? Original cost price CAD $475 in 2004.
