Robert Martinson, of Laverick Hall, Co. The deed poll is witnessed by William Augustus Dickson and Samuel Barrett Hylton. Their witnessing is confirmed by Robert Oliver Vassall, Custos Rotulorum for Hanover Parish, and William Hewitt. Vassall's and Hewitt's status (as Assistant Judges) is attested by William Bullock, Secretary of the Island, and Bullock's (in a part-printed form), by the Governor himself, William, 5th Duke of Manchester, governor 1814-1827.
