This silent screen siren appeared opposite Rudolf Valentino in "Stolen Moments" (1920) and her 1924 film "Three Weeks" caused a furor; she appeared in talkies such as "Jane Eyre" throughout the 1930s and was nicknamed "Darling of the Intelligentisa" by journalists because of her literary friendships and second husband, novelist James M. Cain. "For Richard / from / Aileen Pringle in black fineline on a fine heavy stock 5" X 3" card, dated by her 26 March 1985 at upper right. Fine. With original envelope. Accompanied by a fine 4 3/4" X 7½" heavy stock sepia-tone half-length portrait of her at the height of her fame (bearing printed inscription and signature). A superb pair. Seller Inventory # 19049
