Tall 8vo. 87 pp. Illustrated. Orange textured cloth, title in silver on spine. Bookplate of Wm G. Mather (1857-1951), a Cleveland, Ohio-based book collector. Mather has added on the dedication page "Cliffs Cottage, Ishpeming (Mich.), Gwinn Cleveland." Inscription by the author, Stellanova Osborn: "For Wm. G. Mather with the appreciation, friendship, and best wishes of Stellanova Osborn and from Chase. September 21, 1946 Publication date September 26. This is the inscription of Chase S. Osborn, in his 87th year and totally blind. He has so far recovered from a fractured hip as to be able to stand alone for several minutes, and to walk fifty (much-diminished) paces with the aid of an assistant and a cane." With three pictorial newspaper articles about former Michigan Governor Chase S. Osborn, and a copy of a letter from Wm. G. Mather to the author Stellanova Osborn inserted in this copy.
