Gift set edition, first printing thus. Inscribed by the author to the half-title page: "For Luc best wishes from Judith Kerr". The book is firmly bound, it is externally lightly marked and bumped. The text block has occasional marks and a few slightly creased pages. A nicely inscribed small format hardback edition of Kerr's surreal 1960s children's book, dating from the period at which it had acquired modern classic status.
