Here are Jaakaylee, the ghost-seer, and Najamai, the only owner of a refrigerator in Firozsha Baag; Rustomji the Curmudgeon and Kersi, the young boy whose life threads through the book and who narrates the final story as an adult in Toronto. We see their passions, their worst fears, their betrayals, and their humorous acts of revenge. Paperback. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. 1st printing of the first Canadian edition of the Canadian author's first book SIGNED by Mistry on the title page in blue ink and dated in 1992. No inscription and no previous owner's markings. A story collection published as a small-format paperback original. A remarkably well-preserved copy with typical tanning to the pages. The covers are bright with surface wear at the extremities. The top corner of the front cover and the first 2 pages are softly turned. Note: the orange spine of the first edition is typically sunned, but this example is bright and suffers only from a few scratches. A scarce book and the author makes few public appearances.
