Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book presents a collection of United States Senate bills primarily concerning taxation and investment in the commercial fishing industry. Introduced between 1983 and 1984, each proposed bill sought to modify or establish a tax structure for various aspects of the industry, including wages, vessel acquisition, equipment, holding companies, and employee benefits. The bills aimed to address perceived inequities and provide economic incentives for the domestic fishing industry. The book offers insights into the legislative process and the challenges faced by the industry during that period. By examining the proposed changes to taxation and investment, readers gain a deeper understanding of the complex relationship between government policy and the commercial fishing industry.
