Alien Künsten, so auch der Baukunst, stand der orthodoxe Islam nicht eben freundlich vermochte jedoch, so lange die weltliche Gewalt der Fürsten sich nicht vollstttndig vor ihm beugte, seine rigorosen Ansichten nicht in die Tat umzusetzen: auch das von ihm erfundene Bilderverbot fand meist keine Beachtung.
