I showed her a black pair, and she pulled a stiletto out of her hair and was going to stab me. I said, Madam, you asked for flesh-colored stockings; this is the nearest match we have. But she wanted white people's flesh colored stockings. I sold her a pair; they must have beenas becoming as a stick of licorice in a plate of ice-cream.
