Excerpt from Joannis Agricolae Islebiensis Apophthegmata: Nonnulla
Brevi post (pridie Non.
In ea parte libri, qua prophetarum vaticinia continentur, omnibus fere paginis vestigia calami Agricolani videatur, in apocryphis libris raro, in Novo Testamento saepius.

This book offers a glimpse into the religious and political landscape of the Reformation era through the lens of the writings and experiences of Johannes Agricola, a contemporary of Martin Luther. Agricola's annotations on biblical texts provide insights into the theological debates and divisions of the time, particularly regarding the Eucharist and the relationship between faith and works. The book's inclusion of Agricola's personal observations and reflections adds a human dimension to the historical record, revealing the challenges and complexities faced by those who lived through this transformative period.
