Après lui on peut dire que l'histoire clinique du goitre exophtalmique est faite. Il a été publié un nombre considérabled'observations, des détails nouveaux, des formes insolites ont été mises au jour, mais en somme en a peu ajouté à la descrip tion du maitre. Ce qui date de notre temps, ce sont des recherches d'anatomie pathologique et de physiologie expérimentale par lesquelles on a essayé d'expliquer le mécanisme des symptômes et la pathogénie de la maladie.
