Bem profecto Federicus Diez in Grammatica Linguarum Romani carum (i) egregio haustu praelibavit et operis incohavit plus quam lineamenta quippe qui, ut hic ad verborum structuram tantum spectemus, usitatiores apud nos dicendi formulas e latino quidem sermone duetos esse, sed intercidente infimae cuiusdam et corrup tae latinitatis usu, aptis et idoneis non semel exemplis commons travit. Gum autem clarissimo illi philologo destinatum esset potius cognationem quandam hhguarum neo-latinarum ut ex uno fonte ortarum notare quam inquirere quatenus inter se discreparent, fit ut indiscrete saepius ducta e merovingico Galliae sermone exempla admisouerit latinitati iisdem fere saeculis tum in Italia tum apud Hispanos fiorenti, et aedificium mirabili sane rerum scientia, sed aliqua tamen parte claudicans, utpote tot diversa membra com plectens, ad unius regulae mensuram exstruxerit et concinnaverit.
