Scrivesi Burnetto ora Bru netto Ciò medesimo ho osservato rispetto al Latini; ed io a Burnetto ho preferito Brunetto, si per seguir l'uso, e si massimamente perchè questo è regolare, nè procedente, siccome l'al tro,da storpiatura. Infatti dal nome proprio Bru no che oggi dicesi anche Brunone nacque di rittamente il diminutivo Brunetto, che talora si cangio in Burnetto; come, per addurne esempio, da stromento si fece stormento con leggiera tra sposizione di lettere.
