In her early Days {he was inclined to be very gav being left an Orphan before fhe was twelve Years of Age, her Father, Mr. Freeman, of Holbeac/z, in Lincoln /lzire, having at that Time been dead, nine Years; thus was the Princefs of Dramatic Poets left without a Guide, but her native Wit foon brought her into Fame. The Spirit of Poetry was born with her, for before the was feyen Years old fhe wrote a very pretty Song, and adapted it to a fprightly Tune, which became a dif tinguilhed country-dance.
