Infatti, pel valore diplomatico che ha la grande massa di questi antichi manoscritti che or va venendo a luce, č pur necessario che si tenga conto di quanto puņ risultarne per la storia dei segni alfabetici e non 'alfabetici e dell'uso ortografico, nč puņ essere ben fatto nelle trascri zioni, sia pure interpretative, attribuire ad uno scrittore o ad uno scrivente un uso che non era il suo nč del suo tempo. Basti, per la maggiore perspicuitą della trascrizione interpretativa, avere introdotto la divisione delle parole dovunque fosse possibile accertarla e la distinzione dei nomi propri e locali colla iniziale maiuscola.
