Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book examines the wide-ranging impact of pesticides on wildlife, summarizing data from the mid-20th century. The author, a wildlife researcher, presents information on the impact of pesticides on food sources, reproductive health, and the survival of numerous animal species. The author concludes that while the benefits of pesticides in increasing crop yields and reducing the spread of disease should not be discounted, the negative impacts on entire ecosystems must be considered, and more targeted and sustainable pest control methods must be developed and implemented.
