Bowels, inflammation ofn - The symptoms are very severe pain in the belly, varying from those of colic in being a continuous pain (while in colic there are intervals of rest from pain), rolling, pawing, sweat: ing, rapid breathing with an inclination to shift about, with great fever and excitement. The disease comes on more gradually than colic (which see), legs and ears cold, belly tender and painful on pressure. (see cut ior posi tion of nose, etc.)
