During the past five years surgeons have frequently observed the fact that appendicitis may occur in patients suffering from an inflammatory condition of the ovaries and tubes. In reviewing the appendicitis literature, I found a number of articles treating directly of this feat ure, while it is referred to occasionally in articles dis cussing the etiology and diagnosis of salpingitis.
