I propose in the present essay the reverse of this. I shall attempt to deliver a Medical lecture to a popular audience. I shall endeavor to make it such a lecture as might be delivered in the class room; but I hope at the same time to make my subject so plain that the people generally, with a little atten tion, will be able to understand me.
