The Weather Bureau's 30-day outlook for mid-october to mid - November is for temperatures to average below seasonal normals east of the Continental Divide except for near to above normal in the northern Plains and in Florida and near normal in the middle and north Atlantic Coast States. Above normal temperatures are indicated west of the Divide except for near normal over eastern portions of the central and southern Intermountain Region. Precipitation is expected to exceed normal over the eastern quarter of the Nation. Subnormal totals are indicated for the southwestern quarter of the country and also in western portions of the northern Plains° In unspecified areas near normal precipitation is expected.
