One pint beans cooked in water until soft, one quart milk, two tablespoons flour moistened with milk, one tablespoon but ter, 1 teaspoon salt, one-half teaspoon pepper. After beans are cooked mash through strainer and add to thickened milk, then add salt, pepper and butter, and bring to a boil. - Mrs. J. A. Mc Cance.
