At fome future period, I, or my Son, now en~ gaged in the fame profefiion, may give an abridgment of the whole, which may ferve as a manual or direélory, for thofe who are occupied in the line of chirurgical Ope rations; but the concife defcription Of an abridged work, would be ill calculated for thofe who have feen nothing, and who have therefore all to learn.
