Synopsis
This book follows the beloved and brave knight, Sir Rother. He is sent on an epic quest by his king to rescue the daughter of a foreign ruler from another faraway kingdom. However, Sir Rother and his men are captured while attempting to complete the mission and are separated from their king and also from each other. For years they are forced into slavery by the ruler of the unknown land and live in misery, never knowing if or when they will be freed. Sir Rother faces many trials in his captivity and comes face to face with his own mortality. He emerges from his imprisonment as a transformed man, with an unshakeable sense of hope and duty. His experiences have taught him that even in the darkest of times, there is always a glimmer of light.
