About the Author

Josef Ruederer (1861-1915) stammte aus dem Münchner Großbürgertum, widmete sich aber entgegen den Wünschen seines Vaters ganz der Schriftstellerei. Er gehörte zum Umkreis der Münchener Sezession, war 1901 Mitbegründer der Elf Scharfrichter und veröffentlichte seine Texte im Simplicissimus und der Jugend.
