Ich erfülle eine ernste und traurige Pflicht. Indem aus dem litterarischen Nachlasse meines Bruders, kaum ein Jahr nach sei nem Hinscheiden, dieses Werk der Öffentlichkeit ubergeben wird, habe ich einige Worte uber die Einrichtung und-abtheilung des selben zu sagen. Es wurde, bei der individuellen Richtung meiner Studien, eine leichtsinnige Zuversicht verrathen, wenn ich hier mehr, als die äufsere Form, berührte, und es wagte, dem Ver ewigten, auf der von ihm durchlaufenen Bahn, in das unerinessene Reich der Sprache zu folgen.
